Family Law Service Fees
The confirmed service fee is shown below. Fees for other family law matters depend on the scope of work and circumstances. Applicable fee arrangements will be explained before engagement.
Separation Declaration — Solicitor-Assisted Sending Service
AUD $550
Includes video identity verification, video witnessing where legally permitted, sending the declaration from the firm, telephone follow-up to check receipt, and an affidavit recording the steps actually taken.

Joint Application
AUD $1,320 (incl. GST)
Professional fee $1,200 plus GST $120. Applies where both spouses agree to apply jointly and sign the required documents.
Sole Application
AUD $3,300 (incl. GST)
Applies where one spouse makes the divorce application alone.
Court Divorce Filing Fee (Government Charge)
AUD $1,170
Charged by the Court separately from our professional fees. Eligible applicants may qualify for a reduced fee; the Court’s fee at the time of filing applies.
Service of a Sole Divorce Application
If the client arranges an eligible person to serve the documents in accordance with Court requirements, no third-party service fee is payable. The applicant cannot personally serve their own sole application. If an external process server is needed, the estimated disbursement is AUD $385 (incl. GST), charged at actual cost.
Disputes About the Separation Date
Where our firm previously assisted with the separation declaration and the other spouse disputes the separation date during the divorce application, we will continue the related divorce work without additional professional fees for that issue, including necessary further appearances or refiling. Where applicable, we will assist with seeking a waiver or reduction of Court fees for any further filing or appearance; any waiver is at the Court’s discretion and cannot be guaranteed. Applicable Court charges and other third-party expenses will be explained before they arise.
